Da Big One:
This is definitely the biggest, most time consuming project we did. First we made 3 8x8 in. patterns. Then we had to repeat each of those patterns 9 times to fill 3 25x25 in. boards.

Then we put the boards together to form a corner, as seen here:

Then we made an 8x8 cube as seen here:

And then we had to paint the patterns in perspective onto the cube so that when viewed at a 45 degree angle, the cube disappears, as seen here:
I lost count, but there was over 70 hours spent on this project. It also included my first all-nighter. I consider it a... rite of passage...Of course we did other projects during this studio, but I dont have pictures of a lot of them.
Plus, I'm going camping. :D
I'm sure I'll do it later this weekend while I'm procrastinating writing and studying other things...

This is a color leaf that I made. First we had to choose a hue, and I chose magenta. Then we had to create that colors most saturated hue, or highest chroma (meaning brightest color). Then we had to create an 11 panel gray scale on the left side of our paper. The we created the color leaf. The value decreases as you move down the columns, and the saturation increases as you move towards the right on the rows. The seventh tile was to be the most saturated color. They chromas are painted on 1x1 inch squares of bond paper and mounted onto matboard 1/4 inch apart. This also integrated in the Munsell Theory of Color, which is a color space that specifies colors based on hue, value, and chroma.
Hue- color family
Value- lightness/darkness
Saturation- intensity/strength

This project was to teach us about 3 different design terms, but to be honest, I dont remember what they were... whoops. I'm sure whatever brain cells I would have used to remember them were killed by excessive sharpie use.

Our very first assignment for this class was to draw 50 drawings over the weekend. This was obviously one of the first 5 I did. Its a remake of Roy Lichtenstein's "Kiss V". I quickly realized that not all of the 50 could be this involved or I would never finish. In the end it was supposed to teach us that drawings can be very simple.

Anyways, the next week we had to number the 50 drawings and then we had to randomly select 5 of the drawings and re-draw them to show them as a point drawing, linear drawing, and planar drawing. We also had to enlarge the picture, so I decided to exaggerate her hair more in these.
